Engineering: journalism, mathematics,physics, chemistry, biology, chemical engineering, general technics, economics, site engineering/structural engineering/architecture, engineering/construction/hydraulic engineering/ecological engineering/protection and health technics, materials, mechanical engineering, eletrical engineering, digital media, computer science, control engineering, shipbuilding/shipping, aircraft construction, aviation and aeronautics as well as energy.
Social Work: social education, social work, education, philosophy, sociology, social legislation, psychology, medicine, educational science, nursing management, health care and tourism. The stock includes about 113,000 printmedia, 541 journals and magazines as well as various AV- and non-printmedia. The users have free access to many offline CD-ROM databases (fix technik, Probst Baustoffführer, MedLine, etc.) in the reading hall (single licence).
Moreover, the users have free access to many online databases and electronic journals (e-lib) via the State- and University Library Bremen.
Recommendation to buy books are most welcome, both from lecturers and students. The books will possibly be purchased by the library on its account as quick as possible. Please do check in advance, if the title is already available in our stock. Excluding dictonaries, loose-leaf editions and CD-ROM Databases it is possible to lend from our stock (for a period of 4 weeks).
Moreover, it is possible to renew after this period online via OPAC.
